Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was conceived in Minsk. Sergey (d.2019) played ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. Her career has seen her been awarded 12 WTA singles titles. One of them was the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. Her doubles game is excellent, and she won Majors at her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both with Elise Mertens. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, played with her during the 2018 season until the end and part of the 2020 season. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach from 2020. Her heroes include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
