Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was conceived in Minsk. Sergey (d.2019) played ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. Her career has seen her been awarded 12 WTA singles titles. One of them was the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. Her doubles game is excellent, and she won Majors at her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both with Elise Mertens. Alongside Mertens, the Belgian tennis star She won the WTA 1000s in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. Just four pairs of women's tennis have achieved this feat. Her ranking went from second to third on the world singles rankings on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her best ranking was again achieved in January 2023. As a doubles player, she was able to propel herself up to first place in February of the same year after the victory in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player born in Belarus to achieve success in the sport of doubles. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis star, played with her during the 2018 season until the end and part of the 2020 season. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach from 2020. Her heroes include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
